Vaccinations:-
All dogs and cats coming into boarding must be fully vaccinated. Their vaccination card must be shown on arrival. Animals without certificates will be refused entry. All vaccinations should be administered at least 14 days prior to boarding your animals.
Kennel Cough (Canine Infectious Bronchitis):-
We strongly recommend that customers vaccinate their dogs against kennel cough, and you discuss this matter with your veterinary surgeon. The kennel cough is a live vaccine so there is a 10 day exclusion period immediately after having the vaccine where your dog may not come to the kennels.
Fleas and Worms:-
Should any animal be found to be hosting fleas or worms, we will administer appropriate treatment and the person collecting the animal will be liable for all costs of treating the animal.
Accident or Illness:-
In case of any accident or illness we may use our registered vet:-
Myerscough Veterinary Group, Clifton Drive, St Annes or their 24 hour service at Clayton-le-Dale
We will endeavour to use the owner’s own vet practice where possible (as your animals records will be held there), but sometimes is not practically possible.
In case of any illness that the management feel is beyond their control, the owner agrees that any treatment and/or surgery deemed necessary by the above named practice can be carried out. We will make attempts to try contact you or your emergency contact, where possible, before any treatment is started. The owner is liable for any vet fees.
Customers agree to a £25 charge per visit should Balmoral be required to take your animal to a vet. This charge covers time, transport and fuel etc.
Belongings/Own Food:-
Beds and toys are not required but if you wish to bring such items then we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to customers belongings. Any item brought in must be clearly labelled. Therefore we please ask not to bring anything precious or anything you would not want to lose. We provide high quality feeds but if you wish to bring your own food you are welcome to bring a supply, although there is no reduction in the fee.
Please ensure your dog has an appropriate collar for walking on a lead. No choke chain will be accepted.
Uncollected Pets:-
If pets are not collected within 14 days of the date on which he/she is due to leave the kennels/cattery, and no communication is received from the owner and owners cannot be contacted, a decision to re-home or hand over the animal to a rescue centre will be made.
